Native Language: Chinese Target Language: English Proficiency: High Beginner
Details: I am a teacher in Tainan, Taiwan. I teach English to many students. In particular, I have a several classes of medium to high beginner English. Their understanding and speaking skills are incredible, but their writing skills are, well, not too great. I'd like to find another school (preferably) in Canada (since I am Canadian) who would like to write to these students. I would prefer that the writings are done through 'snail mail', so that I can monitor my students' progress. It is not necessary, and not preferred that your students speak or write Chinese. This exercise is to build my students' awareness of an English culture, and to write in English. If this sounds good to you, I would really like to get this going. I will be talking to the students about this exercise this week, and that I am in the process of looking for students. Most of my class sizes are between 8-12 students, so if your class has more than that, I will split them between several of my classes. Thank you.

Native Language: Chinese Target Language: English Proficiency: High Intermediate
Details: Here is a brief introduction of our students and school: My students are a group of 16-year-old senior high school girls from Kaohsiung, Taiwan R.O.C. Their first language is Chinese, but they are learning English as their 2nd language. My students would like to communicate with ePals in UK, USA, Canada or Australia. They would like to collaborate with classes interested in working with a partner classroom on a collaborative project about the inter cultural communication, global awareness or language learning.
